No child should be unhoused.

Family homelessness in Gallatin Valley has grown at an unprecedented rate, with the number of families served by Family Promise increasing 4,725% over 20 years. Even after expanding transitional housing, adding innovative diversion programs, and growing from a staff of four to nearly forty, the need continues to outpace capacity. In 2024-2025, 1,019 families sought support—a 160% increase from the previous year—while 10–15 new families continue to call each week. With limited space and resources, many have had to be turned away, underscoring the urgent need for additional shelter and service capacity so no child goes without a safe place to call home.

Family Promise is uniquely positioned to meet this challenge. With more than 20 years of experience and a national network behind us, we provide specialized, family-centered services rooted in safety, dignity, and long-term success. Through comprehensive background checks, individualized case management, and a proven model focused exclusively on children and families, we help parents secure employment, build financial stability, and achieve permanent housing. The A Journey Home campus strengthens this work—offering purpose-designed housing, supportive communal spaces, bridge and workforce housing options, and a transformative environment where families can rebuild stability, set goals, and thrive.

Family Promise is not a handout, it is a long-term solution for generational economic hardships.
