Become a Volunteer!

Family Promise is a volunteer-based organization. Our model of care works

only because of the dedicated service of  hundreds of volunteers who cook meals,

deliver groceries, and help care for our friends and neighbors.

Join us for our 3rd Annual Spring Into Action - Saturday April 20th, 2024!

Spring Into Action is an annual day of service that Family Promise of Gallatin Valley hosts to provide household essentials to families directly in our programs, raise awareness of our mission, and complete volunteer projects at our various locations. Volunteers will be located at local grocery stores asking community members to donate supplies or they will be at one of our office locations sharing their times and talents.

Last year, our Spring Into Action volunteers were able to raise almost $900 and over 7,000 items that community members bought from our essential supplies shopping lists! Our families benefitted from this amazing accomplishment for many months following Spring Into Action. With over 50 volunteers, FPGV was also able to complete upkeep and cleaning projects that were so beneficial to the integrity we provide for our programs.

We hope you will be a part of this fun event to raise awareness and help our community donate even more supplies!

A note from:
Tonya Stevens

Volunteer Coordinator: Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

There’s that saying, “What comes around, goes around.” I believe when Family Promise volunteers show their compassion and provide expertise and aid to people in temporary plight, those once homeless will, in turn, give to others in whatever ways they can in the future. A community must let all its citizens know that they are valuable regardless of their housing status. That’s the job that Family Promise of Gallatin Valley does so very well. I am humbled to be able to do my bit."
