Unique Volunteer Opportunity: Supporting Graduating Families!

Past guest Crystal and her kiddos in their new home

Have you ever looked around your home and thought…”we have TOO much stuff.” Here is an opportunity to de-clutter your house while supporting our homeless children with families!

At Family Promise our goal is to help our families regain their independence.

A family “graduates” our program when they have found stable housing, employment and childcare. When our families move into their new homes we want to support their new independence by helping to provide household goods like furniture, cleaning supplies and linens.

We have limited space in our garage for all our household donations. However, when we have multiple families moving out of our program at once we could use some extra items to support our families!

This week we have two families graduating our program and they are in need of a few items. Do you have any of these household goods that you are interested in passing along to one of our families?

Here is a specific list of items we are looking for:

  • 4 single beds
  • Two or more couches
  • End tables
  • Lamps
  • Dressers
  • Coffee tables
  • 2 dining tables (for a family of 4)
  • Household cleaning items

If you would like to support Family Promise in this way give us a call at 582.7388 or email our Family Case Manager Kacie at kgrue@familypromisegv.org.

Thanks!
